I wrote this after learning “From My Little Island,” as well as meeting my first crush in high school. Three movements of very simple music, but challenging in really random ways, definitely has a childish character to each movement. There are little to no dynamics, as well as not very strict tempos, and is very much intended for the performer to make of it what they want.
