This percussion piece is written for 8 players, and is intended for 6th grade or higher. Instruments required are tam tam, timpani, bass drum, claves, bongos, suspended cymbal, snare drum, xylophone and glockenspiel. Commissioned by Angela-Addison Davis for the Beasley Academic Center percussion section, this will push the students to count as measures change from 3/4 to 4/4 very often, execute extreme dynamic contrasts, and fit into rhythmic unison and syncopation, specifically the clave player.
